KATE COLLEARY - PRINCIPAL
Kate specialises in intellectual property, data protection, commercial and litigation work and insurance. For almost 20 years, she has worked in large international law firms, most recently leading the intellectual property and data protection groups of a top international law firm. Kate founded Colleary & Co to provide clients with expert legal advice and a world class service.
Kate is regularly asked to speak on IP, technology and data protection issues and to comment in the media. She runs monthly master classes in data protection and lectures in IP, technology and data protection law. She was one of only three Irish lawyers nominated for a Women in Law 2015 award by the UK’s Lawyer Magazine.
Kate is the Irish Country Leader of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

JANE SUSAN BOURKE - SOLICITOR
Jane Susan qualified in 2013. She is an LLM IP & IT graduate from University College Dublin and a qualified Irish Trade Mark Attorney. She has also been admitted to the English and Welsh roll of solicitors.
Jane lectures on the Law Society Trade Mark Certificate Course. She is an active member of the Law Society Technology Law Committee. Jane has co-written a number of articles including on website blocking injunctions and on the plain packaging tobacco bill published by WTMR.
Jane practices in the commercial field with a strong emphasis on Intellectual Property, Data Protection and Information Technology. Since Jane commenced working in Colleary and Co in 2016, she has advised clients in relation to commercial contracts and complex IP arrangements. She has extensive experience in undertaking data protection gap assessments for clients and drafting data protection policies, procedures and protocols for clients. She has helped many of our healthcare clients create and manage their privacy programmes.
NATASHA O'REILLY - SOLICITOR
Natasha qualified as a solicitor in 2017 and is an honours graduate of the National University of Ireland, Galway, and University College Dublin. Natasha has experience in both US and Irish law firms and having gained a Masters in Commercial Law at UCD, she trained as a corporate lawyer with a large international law firm in Dublin before joining Colleary & Co.
Natasha has particular expertise in advising clients, including some of Europe’s largest insurers and PLCs, on data protection issues. She also assists clients during audits conducted by the Data Protection Commission. Natasha is experienced in drafting data protection agreements, policies and notifications and in conducting gap analysis assessments for a variety of clients including organisations operating in the healthcare sector, charities sector, public bodies and insurance companies. Natasha has assisted clients, including a national bank, in responding to complex Data Subject Access Requests while also complying with other statutory obligations. Natasha has also assisted clients in exercising their data protection rights by successfully obtaining the removal of personal data from a number of large search engines under the Data Protection Directive.
BRENDA TOBIN - CONSULTANT
Brenda is an IP consultant dealing exclusively in media, arts and entertainment. Litigation (debt collection and copyright infringement) and non contentious policy drafting, contract negotiation and drafting. Her background is in television production and she represent film makers, curators of content, television producers, book publishers and music producers.
She set up the copyright department for Thompsons' Solicitors, London, where she offered a copyright service to the NUJ and BECTU which involved High Court copyright litigation, and has completed considerable work on content archives for RTE (Irish national broadcaster) and ITMA. She worked with RTE, for 9 years, dealing with all aspects of in house and commissioned programme-making and as lawyer to the digital team.

ELIZABETH DUNNE - CONSULTANT
Elizabeth is a barrister at law and certified data protection practitioner.
She specialises is data protection and regulatory compliance (GDPR), and also in audits and training.
She has worked in the following industries: Telecoms, Public Sector, Banking, Financial Services, Medical / Health, Construction, Insurance, Cloud Services, Accounting and Auditing, Environmental.
Aisling is a Senior Compliance professional with over 20 years’ experience in Ireland and the UK in Financial Services in Retail Banking and Asset Management. She is a qualified Barrister, LCOI-certified, Certified Data Protection Practitioner and experienced DPO.
Aisling is a Board member of the Association of Compliance Officers in Ireland (ACOI) with specific responsibility for Data Protection, Technology & Cyber-security risk. Aisling is an experienced conference & event speaker. She is a Certified Project Manager (PRINCE2 Practitioner) with experience both leading and advising change projects.
DAVID McMUNN - SOLICITOR
David is a communications and media professional with 20 years of legal, regulatory, corporate and commercial experience. He has a thorough knowledge of the Irish, EU and UK regulatory and legal frameworks for the broadcast / telecommunication sector.
David is a qualified Solicitor and Mediator in both the Republic of Ireland and the UK (England and Wales). David has extensive experience of dealing with Data Protection and related matters. He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (Europe) (CIPP/E). He is also a member of the Intellectual Property and Data Protection Committee of the Law Society of Ireland.
